Something Funny is coming...

There’s something new hatching at Nikkie Crochet Designs… A little flock of funny, quirky and lovable birds is getting ready to take flight. And these aren’t your ordinary birds. Each one has a big personality, a unique look and plenty of funny little details to discover. Think oversized eyes, curious expressions, quirky feathers and characters that are guaranteed to make you smile. Big Personalities. Small Stitches. The Funny Birds Collection will grow step by step, with each bird carefully designed, tested and refined before joining the flock. Some birds may be elegant. Some may be a little odd. Some may look like they have absolutely no idea what’s going on. And I love them all. The first designs are already taking shape, and I can’t wait to introduce them to you. But for now, I’ll keep a few feathers under my wing... Keep an eye on my blog and Instagram for sneak peeks, early bird calls and the official launch of the first Funny Birds pattern. Coming soon...

From Eeyore to Dora Donkey

It has been a little quiet here on the blog lately, but there is a good reason for that: I have been working on finalizing my latest crochet project! Not only did I finish my cute little Eeyore amigurumi, but I also took the time to write out and test the entire crochet pattern. And that is how Dora Donkey was born! Dora is a sweet, slightly grumpy-looking donkey with her big floppy ears, fluffy black mane and adorable expression. I originally started making her because I wanted to create my own little Eeyore. While designing and crocheting this famous donkey, the idea grew into a complete pattern that could be shared. However, sharing an Eeyore pattern is not allowed, so I created Dora Donkey. And with a little creativity you can create your very own famous donkey! Tester Call! Before I officially release the pattern, I am looking for a few testers who would like to crochet Dora and help me make sure the pattern is clear, complete and easy to follow. Would you like to be one of...

Valentine Love Gnomes

Valentine Love Gnomes It is almost February, so I want to show you a small Valentine-themed crochet project: two charming love gnomes that bring a festive touch to the season. They are made using a crochet pattern by @grethawings on Instagram and I learned a lot by following this pattern. I love the pink, grey and white combination of this couple.

This space is all about creativity, learning, and enjoying the joy of handmade crochet. I’m also happy to announce that my very first crochet pattern, Koko Koala , is now available in my Etsy shop.  https://nikkiecrochetdesigns.etsy.com Through this blog, I’ll be showcasing my patterns, sharing ideas on how to use them, and hopefully inspiring you to pick up your hook and start crocheting.
